At the UN Infopoverty World Conference, 2018.
One conference. One presentation. No ongoing UN affiliation.
The conference, what it does, and our limited role.
The United Nations Infopoverty World Conference convenes governments, academia, and civil-society organizations to close the digital and resource divide separating the world's most vulnerable communities from the systems serving everyone else.
In 2018, a co-founder of Entanglement Foundation attended the conference and presented on humanitarian digital-divide work in Indigenous Mexico — work carried out before the foundation incorporated.
Entanglement Foundation is not endorsed by the United Nations and is not a UN-recognized partner. Our connection to UN Infopoverty is the 2018 attendance noted above — no formal affiliation has existed before or since.
Verifying our claims.
For documentation of the 2018 attendance — agenda excerpt, registration record, or copy of the position paper — contact the foundation office. We will not respond to inquiries that assume an ongoing partnership with the United Nations, because none exists.
